ITS SO FULL!!

It’s getting fuller every day now to the point it’s spilling out. Is this overwatering? What am I doing wrong 😭 should I just cut it off? #Nepenthes #NepenthesAlata #cpclubthursday #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PlantTherapy #CarnivorousPlants #CarnivorousClub
2” pot without drainage

No, don’t cut off unless it’s dry and crispy. During digestion, a Nepenthes pitcher may release extra digestive liquid, causing the fluid level to rise. Once digestion is complete, the plant absorbs the nutrient-rich liquid, and the fluid level will drop again. Maybe cut down its water intake until level subsides. Here’s an article on pitcher plants:

@Fireplace Hi Allison, is it possible that it has obtained additional water from watering over the plant? Generally pitchers don’t overfill when they are left alone and instead only have sufficient water to aid digestion so maybe 1/4-1/3 of the wat up the pitcher. Any additional water just dilutes their digestive juices.
It's pretty normal for them to do this. Try watering less until the juice level goes down.
@HappyPlantBFF @Seymour @SimpleSucc it’s probably overwatering. I’ll water it less from now on. Sorry for the late response (again) thanks! 😊
