Hi Beth!

Generally when water drains right through the drainage hole, it's and indication of being root-bound and time to size up 1 to 2" in a new pot.

Your palm would also appreciate fresh organic potting soil that if filled with good nutrients. ๐Ÿ‘
@AnewJewelorchid Brown fronds and water rushing straight through the soil usually mean the soil has become hydrophobic (dried out and compacted) or the plant is root-bound. Majesty palms like consistent moisture and high humidity, so this cycle stresses the plant and causes the leaves to crisp and brown. How to Fix the Watering IssueWater rushing straight through the pot happens when potting soil shrinks and pulls away from the edges of the container, creating a gap. Water simply flows around the root ball instead of soaking into it. Bottom Water Your Palm: Place the inner pot into a sink or basin filled with 3โ€“4 inches of water. Let the plant soak from the bottom up for 30โ€“45 minutes until the topsoil feels damp.Loosen the Soil: If bottom watering isn't possible, slowly pour a little water over the soil, wait a few minutes for it to expand, and pour a bit more. Repeat until the soil is fully saturated.Repot if Root-Bound: If your palm continues to dry out immediately after watering, it may have outgrown its pot and needs to be repotted with fresh, moisture-retaining soil. Majesty palms are finicky indoor plants that require specific care to stay green. Low Humidity: Frond tips and edges quickly turn brown and crispy if the air is too dry. Keep humidity levels above 50% by running a small humidifier nearby or setting the pot on a pebble tray filled with water.Water Quality: Tap water contains salts, chlorine, or fluoride that cause leaf tips to brown. Try switching to distilled or filtered water for a few weeks to see if it helps.Drafts: Cold or hot air blowing directly on the plant from AC vents or heaters will cause the fronds to dry out and brown.
