Where are the leaves dropping? Older bottom leaves or newer ones?

Watering schedules are hard because with the changes in season, length of sunlight & other variables, sometimes they take longer to use up the water. Before watering I would double check that it needs it - top 2-3 inches of soil are dry, the pot seems light (soil is lighter when dry,) or using a water meter but keep in mind that water meters can be thrown off by your soil composition.
It appears to be the bottom leaves. I have stakes to help and it has tons of aerial roots!
It says your plant receives direct sunlight but Monsteraβ€˜s don’t do well in direct sunlight, only bright indirectοΏΌοΏΌ
It might need a bigger pot? how long has it been growing in that one?
@PlantzRLife55 it only is in slightly direct light for like an hour a day as the sun doesn’t fully get to my apartment (which sucks!) but I move it around away from the bright sun
@Sammyws I re potted it in December! I haven’t seen much more growth as it’s winter but it may be worth it to repot
It just looks a little overwatered to me. Might need longer to dry out. 1-2 hrs of direct sunlight should be absolutely fine for a monstera and this looks like a great spot. If you just repotted 3 months ago, it probably isn’t pot size that is the issue. Could be the soil, what kind is it potted in? If it’s retaining too much water that could be the difference in the recent leaf dropping. Or, if it is only older leaves dropping, it could be gearing up to grow more from the top of the vine.
@MadisonMurf mine gets bright direct light for 3-4 hours a day & loves it. She’s acclimated to it though. Something is def going one because the leaves look droopy. Have you checked the roots?
@Blau_Ozean I am terrified to check the roots! The soil is regular potting soil. I’ll check soon and let you know if there’s root issues. The pot is clay and has a large draining hole which also could be an issue? And it looks like all leaves are dropping. The leaves are all that lovely dark green waxy color. The top few inches of the soil is dry so I wonder what is going on
