Repot Broad Leaved Aloe

#BroadLeavedAloe
Before Anything it’s been stretched out horizontally like that for a while from a past spot it was in.

So, it seems like he probably needs a good up potting. And that’s definitely where I’m thinking even tho it’s hard to tell cus it’s horizontal πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚. My wild one. But the length of the plant is like twice the pot size so to me that usually means bigger pot.

Anyway, main point, and I know this is probably pretty unordinary, so a lot of people prob won’t know what to say, but how the h*** am I supposed to repot this and also now it has to hang off any pot cus there’s literally leaves (*forget what they’re called with succulents) in every direction. Fr. Doesn’t seem possible but…

There’s the pictures. Some leaves burnt off so I had to take them off that’s why there’s a β€˜stem’. Lol, idk what to do with this guy. He needs new soil too but problem mostly is the pot πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

@SageSolidGoldd , succulents as a rule are hearty plants. πŸͺ΄ Personally, I like it the way it is. If you want to place it vertically again, I would recommend checking how the roots have grown in the soil. That will also help you determine what size pot to use. It may be possible to trim back the β€œarms,” growing almost flat against the soil.
I'm a beginner mama plant
@SageSolidGoldd This happened with my aloe, but she leaned over like that because she had so many pups they were pushing her over. Is that what happened here? Or is yours leaning towards a light source? (If that’s the case you might want to up the light and turn her so that she will want to stand up to face the sun again β˜€οΈ β˜€οΈ β˜€οΈ )

What I did, after the pups were all safely removed was unpot her, I stripped a few bottom leaves to find a good active node, and then I chopped most of the remaining stem off below that . I let her callous over for a week, and repotted her in a smaller volume of soil, letting her be mostly upright again. I didn’t water for another week, and then slowly started getting into a watering rhythm. Her leaves were still bent over like she was still expecting her kids to come back and give her a scare, but after I moved her back to her high light spot, with the window on the side that she was leaning away from, she corrected herself and stood up straight again. ☺️

Beautiful plant btw. Absolutely love the leaf pattern 🀩😍
Forgot my pic! 🀭
@HolyLacealoe if you had to guess, if I keep it horizontal like that (personally I like it like that too), do you think it needs a bigger pot? It def needs new soil anyway.

I just realized it was growing under the pot too haha. At this point he’s just messing w me lol.
I moved it out but how the h*** did it do that? πŸ˜‚. This is gonna be so hard to repot 😭.
@FunMugwort49 love that pothos
@DreamMachine a long time ago it needed more light so it opened and then. Someone plant sitting moved it, and it was rly not close enough to the light. So it started reaching , and then I had to go away again and they did something. Idek, but then it was reaching so far it turned horizontal. Then I gave it more sun and he was happy with it. And yes there were two pups pushing that direction. I didn’t know they could move the plant. Took them out tho. But anyway like I said they aren’t reaching and stretching anymore. But I think he’s confused lol.

Yes that pot is too small but I had since it was small and normal πŸ˜‚.
She’s getting BIG. You can’t tell in the pic but grows so fast. Way bigger
@DreamMachine it makes them so cool tho!
@SageSolidGoldd , I would say that it’s probably time to give it a larger pot. If you pull it from the current one, you’ll definitely know. 😊 Either way, it’s a super cool β€œaccident!” πŸ˜‰
