Hi #succulentsquad πŸ‘‹πŸΌ for #whatthesuccwednesday I present...

This li'l guy has been growing strong since I adopted him as a 2 inch bb just 5 month ago! 😲🀯🀩

He's definitely getting a repot in February!

Also, side note for #gregfeedback - in the app it says on his care card tips that #skyscrapersenecio prefers indirect light but I've had Dusty in direct sunlight, and I even hot temps since he was a tiny bb with zero complaints and he's been growing in full sun outdoors for the last 4 months - just thought I'd share since others might be wondering why their plant isn't thriving. πŸŒΏπŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

My pearls feel the same way. The plant card and everyone say not to give them direct light, but I've had two of mine growing in a windowsill that gets like 6+ hours of direct sun every day (+/- a bit depending on the season) and they are THRIVING! (:
@WickedValkyrie Yuuup!
πŸ’―

My SOPs love direct sun and get it spring thru fall.

I even leave the window open the mild days so they're getting a big dose of your UV pretty often... when it gets over 80Β°, the window is shut and the AC is on, so they're only getting it through glass and which helps prevent sun burn.

During the winter there're under a grow light about 12 inches away as there's no direct sun on them this time of year.
Thinking about trying to put one outside come spring, but haven't decided yet... I get MAAAD sun out there cuz there's only one tree anywhere near my house and they recently gave it a huge haircut so it doesn't really create any shade now...
That's interesting. The full sun burned my pearls last summer. πŸ€” I'll check on the skyscraper though.

Amazing growth!
@roxyvivien oh wow 🀩 what a stunning plant 🌱
@RJG I think the trick is a very gradual intro β˜€οΈ and no direct sunlight over 85 degrees. My South facing kitchen window gets a good amount to direct sun spring thru fall and I can leave it open or close it to acclimate plants. Since I work from home it's easy to monitor.

That being said, ive noticed the pearls do grow faster when it gets below 70 degrees and they have 3-4 hours of direct sun, not 6+.

The skyscraper, on the other hand is a sun junkie! I saw a huge fully grown Skyscraper in Ibiza, Spain growing in full sun for 10+ hours in 90-100 degree temps and it was loving it!
