How to perk up my Peace Lily?
Bought this boy at the flea market today. Heβs looking a little dreary. Trying to get the leaves to perk up! Iβve heard not to use direct sunlight and make sure soil is always moist, especially in these situations. If you look closely π you can see the unbloomed lily stem. I was told by previous owner that heβs only a couple months old. Using carnivorous soil. Any plant friends have additional/different advice to get these lily leaves to prop up? This is my first Peace Lily! Oh, both photos are the same plant! I had to re-pot because that π« thing had the root sticking out from the drainage hole. πͺ΄π¦ π«Άπ» #PlantTherapy #WateringHacks #PeaceLily #HappyPlants

Water
Peace lilies prefer moist soil, but they don't like to sit in water. Water the plant when the top inch of soil is dry, and let it drain until water stops coming out of the bottom of the pot. You can also place the pot on a tray of pebbles with a little water to increase humidity.
Light
Peace lilies prefer bright, indirect light, but can tolerate low light conditions. Too much direct sunlight can scorch the leaves.
Repot
If your peace lily's leaves are drooping and yellowing, it might be time to repot it with fresh soil.
Fertilize
During the summer, you can feed your peace lily weekly with a general fertilizer. You can also use slow-release pellets at the beginning of the season.
Humidity
Peace lilies are tropical plants that prefer humid environments. You can place your peace lily in a steamy bathroom, kitchen, or conservatory.
Pests
Check your plant regularly for pests and treat infestations with insecticidal soap or neem oil.

@LeavesOfHope17 agree with @Catplantaddict -wrong soil and they love bright indirect light to bloom and be happy. I have mine 8-9 feet from south facing window .
@Catplantaddict ty for your response. I should have specified. It came in carnivorous soil (small white pot) and it wasnβt much. Then I re-potted and put in the only soil I have which is the Peat one. So itβs a bit of both! But Iβm thinking of just buying a big tub of indoor potting soil due to the different plants I have!
@CourtlyKingfern Hi Evelyn, Iβm Evey!! Short for Evelyn. Ha. You have a big and beautiful #peacelilly there. I am afraid of repotting a 3rd time but I do need to get a tub of indoor potting soil. Thank you for your response. π«
@Rueboo water, not soak! All of your tips are super helpful. Wow. Iβll save this info. My lily is next to the warm humidifier.
@SteffyHazPlants haha yes exactly! I will water as normal and drain any leftovers to prevent waterlogging
