Spider plant pot size
I have a few spider plants in a pot, and I'll be re-potting soon (made a post about the soil recently). I don't know whether to use a 12 inch pot or a 13 inch pot. And would a 14 inch pot be too big?
Pictures below are the dimensions of the pot it's in currently. Thanks for the help π #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #planttherapy

@raquelitaque Gotcha. Thank you!!
I agree with @raquelitaque!
They like to be tight in the pot so I always err on the side of small.
Depending upon what you find in the repot you can always reuse the pot it's in and just refresh the soil!

@PlantMompy thatβs what I was thinking too! A repot in the same spot is sometimes just fine. π
@RaineStorm youβre welcome! It looks like a pretty happy plant!
@RaineStorm May I ask why you want to repot? If you let them get potbound in this pot and donβt change anything to give them transplant shock, you will get flowers and babies sooner.

I am not 100% sure if I'm going to yet, I was trying to figure out pot size if I needed to repot. It has also been in that soil for around five years, so it might not have anymore nutrients in the soil.

@RaineStorm OK, if it has been 5 years, it should have been potbound and giving you babies by now. So fertilizing it or entire new soil, does sound like a good idea since it has basically stopped growing for you. The soil could be compacted and devoid of nutrients by now. Give it plenty of time to recover from repotting and I bet it starts to grow. Give it good light inside and it likes the sun, actually mine do, outside in the summer.
