Tips for outdoor Monsteras, especially during rainy perio...
#Monstera My monstera is doing very well outside but weβve recently gotten a lot more rain and Iβm worried that heβs not drying out fully between storms. Heβs in a sheltered area under large trees and has a very chunky potting mix but still. Does anyone bring them inside or in a covered area during rain to try and help dry the soil out?
Get a water monitor / moisture gauge and check. Then you will know.
I would think that since it's under cover from other large trees, that it might not be getting as much water as you think. I can go out to my under-the-tree hanging planters after a good storm and they'll be mostly dry...having received only a drip or three π. Being outside with the fresh air will probably dry it out faster than if it were inside, unless it's super humid out or continues to rain. PLUS / BESIDES, these plants originate from Central America in some pretty jungly type conditions. Pax will probably be loving the current situation!

@UltraKoreanfir I do use my water meter and itβs definitely showing as completely wet. Weβve had rain every 2-3 days for the last little@but so itβs maybe drying out to moist in between. But not dry ever.
