What's wrong with my green spikes #dracaena?
Bought this guy yesterday, I gave him a repot and noticed he was like this. He has red spots on some of the edges of the leaves, holes, and yellow edges. What's wrong with him?

@Catplantaddict well water is not great...it has many minerals in it. And, most people who have wells have hard water....AND a water softener....which adds salt to the water, also not good.
Rain is best, then distilled or reverse osmosis. The Zero Water filtered water (pitcher) supposedly does a good job as well

@SuperblyLilac I live and bought it in a place with high humidity (usually up to 100%), so I'm pretty sure it's not the cause. I gave it brand-new potting soil, and I'll trim the brown edges.
@anthrophile11 this was *before* the repot, although I might use sugar water as you suggested.

Tap water contains chemicals that cause a strong reaction in some plants. Your water canβt just be let sit overnight to remove all of them.
I suggest you begin treating your water with an aquarium water conditioner. I use API Tap Water Conditioner. There are other brands, but this one is good because it doesnβt affect the pH of your water. All plants should get water than has been treated in this way because eventually all of them can be killed by the buildup of the chemicals in their soil. I donβt know if this will solve your issue, but it is good for your plant no matter what. You use only a tiny amount of the conditioner per gallon of water so one bottle will water your plants many, many times.

@TruthfulApricot I don't have tap water. Instead, I have well water. Is this fine? If not, I can use drinking water instead.
@Catplantaddict I canβt be sure. It wonβt have any of the chemicals added by water companies. It depends on the chemicals that are in your well. They result from runoff and previous use of the land. For instance, if the land was ir is on a farm the water can be affected by a variety of things including residual fertilizer or animal waste. I would use the well water, but treat it just the same as tap water. Have you had your well water tested to show what it contains? That would give you a lot of information.
@UltraKoreanfir It rains often in my area anyway, so rain it is.
@Catplantaddict Your plants will love the rain(water)!
