fungas gnats, fungas gnats, and fungas gnats.

i’m in need of some help here. i made a discovery of some unwelcome guests in my bedroom this morning. fungas gnats were flying around near my pothos and monstera in my bedroom. i need to get rid of these asap! any tips or advice for eradicating these little winged pests? any help is greatly appreciated!

@newplantgirlies I add 7-9 drops of this per gallon of water and use it every time I water all my plants! They will be gone in 7-10 days and you will probably not ever see them again👍🏻😁🪴

I used sticky traps and an insecticide by Bonine called systemic houseplant insect control. I sprinkled on my soil and mixed in (followed directions on bottle) The sticky traps definitely work well.

You have to use sticky traps for adults. But also find the best method for each plant to combat larvae and eggs. They are the the bane of my existence.

@newplantgirlies everyone is right, sticky traps for the adults. You can also try beneficial nematodes. So far of all the things I’ve tried, beneficial nematodes have been the best. They are expensive and have to be refrigerated until you are ready to use them, but dang those things are effective!

Like everyone else recommended… sticky traps! But I also like spraying the soil with a mixture of water, a couple drops of peppermint oil, and a couple drops of unscented Dr. Bronners Castile Soap. It works pretty well for me.
