Tips needed
Found this cutie in a large pile of sad looking plants at Walmart. I could have picked out a bunch more. Some looked much better. Might go back tomorrow. Anyway, this plant type is new to me. I put it in my bathroom on a shelf next to a south window. Replanted it also. Any tips are appreciated. #Begonia #PolkaDotBegonia #NewPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #HappyPlants #PlantTherapy

@GoodyIcecaps78 I have cats. Thatβs why all my plants are on shelves or hanging. Thank you for the tips. I live southwest of Detroit.
@LeadChincactus my pleasure. Another thing, they root easily in a cup of water. Iβve rooted the leaves, they just take a little longer.
@GoodyIcecaps78 maybe I should do that with this one.
@LeadChincactus it would definitely expand the roots.
@TRose the only problem with self-watering is it causes bugs.
@TRose I just ordered some. We have gnats to get rid of!
@LeadChincactus I find that since begonia roots are so thin and shallow, they can rot really easily if they stay damp for too long. You will see everywhere telling you to never let them dry out, but I have found the opposite: they *need* to dry out π― before I water them again. I donβt let them stay 100% dry for longer than a day, I aim to water mine the day that they get bone dry. If you start getting brown tips, itβs because they were watered too soon. Good luck! Feel free to tag me if you ever need begonia help, I love them π₯°
