Bird of Paradise help
I can’t seem to keep my bird of paradise happy. It’s in a pot that drains the water to the bottom and the soil stops at 3/4. It has a chunky soil mix and it gets good sunlight. But the leafs keep turning yellow and brown, and even the top ones are curled up and turning brown. I checked the soil and it’s still a little bit wet so I don’t think it’s thirsty. Is the pot too big?

I think your guess is right on the money—the pot is too big for the plant. The general guideline for pot size is that it shouldn't be more than 2-3" bigger than the root ball (or previous pot). How far down in the pot was the soil still damp when you checked it?

I’m wondering, are they supposed to get direct sunlight? For some reason, I thought it was supposed to be in a bright, indirect sunlight room?
