Does anyone have any tips, tricks, advice, soil mix recipes, fertilizer, grow lights help, and/or info for growing a big healthy aloe? It would be greatly appreciated! Mine is pictured down below and I’m struggling a bit with it. #AloeVera #Aloe #aloeverahelp #AloeAddicts #PlantTherapy #GrowLights #PlantLove #Fertilizer

@Seymour these are wonderful thank you!
@BogBody are those giant snail shells that you've used to decorate the soil? lol as I look closer it might just be regular rocks.

But anyways, as a proud owner of a quite hefty mama Aloe. I'd say the best thing an aloe loves is sun.
As much of it as you can give.
I assume you got yours under a purple grow light?
That might be good for a pup (baby aloe) for a week or two but an aloe, even the size of yours would need at least 4-6 hours of sun.
Mine's trived under some shade of a palm tree but that's cuz she's already pretty big and can fan out her leaves.

If you do choose to grow indoor, do get a full spectrum white grow light. Imagine something that you would use for a giant Monstera.
Anyway hope that helps πŸ’š

PS: she is literally named Mama Aloe :)
@BogBody Mine has shown that it likes to be somewhat tight in the pot, so as it has pups, I just leave them in place.
This spring, I will divide and conquer. Mine is planted in Pon....just small rocks. That's it. I only water it every 3 to 4 weeks. The 8" pot is pottery, with a stone finish.
@gardenspider they’re mostly rocks but there is a sand dollar and a clam shell I found at the beach!
It is a full spectrum LED white grow light but for some reason when I take pictures it shows up purple-ish-pink. It’s odd. You have stuck a beautiful aloe! I live in a desert but unfortunately it’s really gloomy here. In the PNW so around this time of year is tough for plants.
@UltraKoreanfir thank you for the info! It helps a lot! :D
