To whoever threw this beautiful plant in the trash... we're out here living our BEST lives without you!!! ❀️ 🌽πŸͺ΄ #dracaena #cornstalkdracaena #happyplants #newgrowth #plantsmakepeoplehappy
About 6 months ago my husband found this Corn Stalk Dracaena next to the dumpster at work. It was in soil that was hard as a rock. He brought it home to me and I repotted it. It threw a big fit, lost leaves and even dropped whole branches. Yesterday, I saw 3 new stems (the other one is on the other side) busting out of both stalks. I didn't know that it would randomly decide to grow stems wherever it wanted to!! I thought that I would have to cut it to get it to do that! Apparently not! I'm so excited to see it fill back in!! 😊

@MockingJay I know right?? πŸ₯° I'm in shock 😁
Way to go! Looks like your rescue efforts are paying off!
@princesspitstop Wow Heidi!!!
@debbiedo πŸ₯° I can't believe someone would just throw it out. Makes me wonder how old it is?
@princesspitstop rehab rescuer Heidi πŸ™ŒπŸ«Ά πŸ₯°πŸŒΏ 😘😘
@DreamMachine haha True! I think I'd rather get a plant close to death and slowly bring it back than get a healthy plant and slowly unalive it. 🀣
@princesspitstop That thick woodyctrunk makes me think it’s been around a while. No matter how old it is though, it certainly has a new lease on life now! 😍
