Luna’s blooms had fallen off quite some time back, and after a while of not really knowing what I should do next—I ended up trimming her and after a while, she has grown a lot! I was wondering if the red-ish tone buds were blooms forming or something different, I would love to know! Hi! Unless the flower stem goes completely yellow you can just leave it on the plant, it wont harm it. Phals don’t reflower from the same flower bud again but they may produce another offshoot stem, or still have a few buds on the original flower stem that it didn’t flower from.
You can also cut it of course but if you’re unsure and you’d like more flowers you could just leave it to see if it’ll continue to bloom.
If you haven’t fertilised it you could get a cheap orchid fertiliser, they don’t like strong fertilisers but there’s lots of orchid ones around. I use baby bio which I think was like £3? I use a couple drops of it in the water as I’m soaking the roots. Giving it a little boost will help its root and leaf growth and to recover from using its energy to flower.
