Note that some are native to Australia and other parts of Asia, so don't fight me over it
Sorry i can't post all the photos. Greg isn't allowing me to. I've tried using the comments to help me, but they won't post 😑. So i just posted my favourites
Love those flowers!! And the leaves on the tree, is gorgeous! 😍🀩β™₯οΈπŸ™ŒπŸ»
@CourtlyKingfern Haha forgot to mention, these ain't my pics. But the Phalaenopsis cornu-cervi was the one that got me really into orchids. Never thought that Phals could be so puny and come in red
So cool to see the Schismatoglottis in the wild!!
Most skipped my mind right now, but I’d highlight Philodendrons Atabapoense and Spiritus Sancti (it’s good to be Brazilian lol)
I just got these Darlingtonia, which grow natively along the coast here, about an hour and 1/2 away. Not exactly the same climate, but close. They should do fine over the winter and that will give me a chance to figure out how to care for them in the summerβ€”they can be a bit tricky as they need full sun but their roots need to stay cool.
@Gustavo must be nice to have a native holy grail plant!
@LaSiguanaba is saw your post the other day, they honestly remind me of the one Lego piece
Those are beautiful!!
Here in Florida, we have lots of carnivorous plants.
Some of my favorite are our Sarracenia flava, Sarracenia Leucophylla, and the many species of drosera and warm-temperate pinguicula! My favorite drosera that is native here is Drosera Filliformis var. Tracyi. I believe Pinguicula Primuliflora also grows native here too! 😁Though, majority of these do grow almost exclusively in Northern Florida as their habitat further south has been destroyed. πŸ˜•
I don't have photos of all of them, but I do have photos of some of the Sarracenia Flava that I saw in Northern Florida.
@Merranda eat all the pests! Shiok! πŸ˜‚ We've only got a handful of native Nepenthes, the insects are everywhere as you can imagine
