I have something I NEED to share with you guys 🤯
So on Tuesday, I went out on the front porch to water some plants 🪴 (I don’t go out there often because of the wasp and the heat this time of year)
As I’m watering my smaller Bird of Paradise, I notice it’s REALLY leaning towards the stairs which makes it in the way when walking up or down. Therefore I thought why don’t I switch it with my banana tree so it’ll lean more towards the center. I lean over to pick it up and I’m trying to figure out WHY it won’t come out of the concrete pot?! 🤔 Usually the plants come right out, but not this time. So I’m pulling, I’m tugging, I’m wiggling, I’m leaning it every which way and NOTHING!
Well FINALLY it lets loose!!!
Believe it or NOT, the BOP roots had grown out of the drainage holes in the clay pot and into the cement pot

I cannot believe how big, thick, and healthy those roots are! It just blows my mind. I never would have thought that would happen.
I mean I could have planted the BOP directly into the cement planter, but that thing is extremely HEAVY. So to make it easier, I just put the clay pot inside the cement pot!
Now I have to do a repot 🤯🤯
And last year, I had a bunch of broken stems from my Easter and Thanksgiving Cactus. So I planted all of them in a little throw away container with some peat moss.
Now the Thanksgiving Cactus wants to bloom?!? WHAT??
I’m sooo confused, yet sooo excited 😜
Last, but not least is my Lifesaver Cactus. It’s from MR SONNY and it’s about to BLOOM 🥰❤️🥰 FIRST TIME EVER!!!!!!

But here’s a few of mine 🥰
First 2 are Easter, last 3 are Thanksgiving ❤️
I just haven’t added Christmas into my mix of madness 🤣
So the little growers pot I have with buds on it right now should be that light pink color. The one in the last 2 pics, but we shall see 😳🧐🤪

@JenniferNoel I have had wasp problems too. Wasps and carpenter bees do not like peppermint and lemon grass. I don’t have enough sun on my porch to grow them, so I put essential oils in water and spray everywhere. You can also hang decoy nests. Just take a brown paper lunch bag and fill it with anything. Then, crinkle the bag a bit, tape it closed, and hang it in the rafters or where you normally see nests. I just use masking tape. Lovely plants!

Hello @JenniferNoel and everyone else. Thats awesome your BOP was doing so great there. Those big heavy concrete planters stay so cool it seams, might be part of why its loving it in there🤷♂️🥰. Im glad you still havd your lifesaver! Me and alavone both lost ours lol. Oh well like i need MORE! Plants anyway🤣. Hope everyones doing great and having lots of fun this summer.
