Aeonium stem cuttings love rain water! 😯

Check out this #treeaeonium #stemcutting rooting in my Mama Jade pot! 😯

I stuck a sad rescued aeonium cutting and the stump part I trimmed off in there and forgot about it until now πŸ˜…

Honestly, I didn't think it would root with both ends cut. πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

🌧️ It's been raining more than usual in LA and I let Mama Jade survive on just rain water in the cooler months.

πŸ’¦ 🌱 Welp... This stump really likes all the water! πŸ™‚

If you're rooting (or repotting #aeonium in winter, don't be afraid to water them often, especially with rain water.

πŸ‘€ I basically gave up on my Aeonium stem... Excuse me while I go put it back outside! 😲
@WickedValkyrie I think it took about 6 weeks to sprout the new leaves. It's been rainy every 10-14 days or so since I popped it in the pot and there's been dew many mornings to keep the top inch od soil moist.
Mine is just in a wee 2" pot by itself, full root system and all. (Looking a little rough right now cuz some rude rodent has pulled it out of the pot like five times now...)

It had a gravity related accident and the top snapped off, so I just left the stem in the pot and hoped for the best... It's been months and nothing. Lol Hopefully some rain will help! 🀞
Fingers crossed for ya! πŸ€žπŸΌπŸ™‚
Aeoniums love rain so much! β˜”
That’s tremendous! 😍
So I live in upstate new York... Would I want to keep it indoors until the spring/summer season? (The aeonium that we had talked about earlier)
