Oooo, fun and beautiful! Are you new to these plants? After a couple of days, you’ll want to repot in a well draining soil mix, make sure they get lots of bright, indirect light, and let them dry out 90% or so before watering. I like repotting in clear plastic nursery pots so I can see the soil down lower in the pot and whether or not it’s dry. Also, if you don’t already have a quarantine practice, I highly recommend it. I quarantine all my plants for at least 3 weeks to make sure no pests hatch and take out the rest of my plants!
@MamaLinne I am to pothos and monstera, yes! They’re currently in the living room (rest of the plants are in my bedroom) and will be repotted in a couple weeks. I’ve been using 3-1 general soil-perlite, is this alright for both of them? I got these from a good brand who seems to already have a decent enough soil mix and they’re about 30% dry at the moment so I’ll see what they need soon enough :)
@GreenPhoenix yay! I prefer a chunkier mix, so I do about 1/3s each soil, perlite, and orchid bark. Many friends use an aroid mix which is soilless. Monstera are aroids, which makes sense! Pothos will tolerate pretty much anything, but I would make the soil chunkier and more well draining for the monstera!
@GreenPhoenix they look great. I actually get more satisfaction out of growing my golden pothos than I do from growing my Thai Constellation because the pothos grow so fast! πŸ˜†
