@SillyPlantGirl It really does. Sometimes I'll spray them to get the drops so I can get pictures, because sunlight with water droplets just makes it that much better!
I got my two Perfect Storms off the clearance rack at Lowe's. They looked a teensy bit rough, but still had really good bones to them. I almost grabbed a couple of Berry Awesomes last week with the intention of haggling them down to dirt cheap because they looked ATROCIOUS. 😂 Seriously, they looked like they hadn't seen water in nearly a week, they were all on death's doorstep. And they weren't even on the clearance rack, they were in the normal area. But it was 20 minutes to close and I was already on another mission LOL
@SpyderLily Oh do you know how’d they’d do as indoor flowers if put in a west facing window in Bend OR?
@LikelyChaya33 I imagine they would do okay, depending on your humidity. They're tropical so they're not usually big fans of dry air LOL You would be able to put it outside in the summer but make sure it's not outside once the temperature starts to get below 60°. They can tolerate temperatures down to around 40° but they REALLY don't like to get that cold. And if you need something that is cold hardy, I also got perennial hibiscus this year that have pretty flowers AND foliage. They are Hibiscus moschuetos, or Swamp Rose Mallow
@SpyderLily if I were to put them in a small (like about a 6-6.5in) pot and then I put them in a shelf with a grow light, how would that affect them. I don’t have any but yours are SOOO beautiful that I just might get some, so I just want to be sure about where I’m putting them, I also don’t have a full house, I live in a townhouse so I don’t really have the option to plant them fully outside and there’s no room on my balcony or deck for one. If that’s makes sense
@LikelyChaya33 Unless you could get a dwarf variety that would be too small of a pot and location. A standard Fiesta can get up to 6' tall under ideal conditions, and even a smaller plant of the standard variety would be too big to thrive under those conditions. There ARE dwarf fiestas, so that is technically an option, they generally tend to be around 2'-4' tall. I mean, I guess it's worth a try if you can track down a dwarf LOL
