I found a big and stunning Super Nova/Raven ZZ! I'm not sure if they're the same but the tag says Super Nova.
He's drop dead gorgeous and I have been obsessed with him ever since I laid eyes on him at Target, so naturally he came home with me.
His name is Orion. Check out his black leaves!!!

@PoisedAlbo it looks like it could be a Raven too, Audrey!! It's really dark. I have a regular ZZ and it's fairly green.
Yours is a Raven !!! I just found a miniature ZZ. Didnβt know there was a miniature ZZ. Sheβs very little. She is in solitary right now I got her on my Motherβs Day trip to the greenhouse. I bought mostly flowers for my new rock shade garden and woods garden. I saw her and had to get her because I love ZZβs.

@JesssJungle are you believing it to be a Super Nova as opposed to the ZZ?! I am mesmerized by those black tiped green leaves. I want to try to grow this from seeds next.

@PricklyThumb thank you! π Yes, I found this out last night as I was taking the plastic pot out to inspect the roots. I hardly noticed it was in a plastic pot, but I always inspect my new plants' roots, so I pried that sucker out. Glad I did because I saw that rubber plug in the drainage hole, and promptly took it out. There was so much water in the bottom. WHYYYY!!! π¬
@JesssJungle right?!? I didnβt notice it for a couple of months until I went to repot and saw the water in the bottom. Luckily Iβm a minimalist waterer for these guys so it was still heathy.
The leaves π start green they will turn black. I have multiple Zamioculcas Zamiiolia Plant (ZZ). I have two solid green ZZ Plants. I have 2 Rare Black ZZ Plants. I have put several pieces of each in one pot. Iβm looking for a variegated one they do exist. Be careful watering it. The ball at the bottom will rot.

@JesssJungle I got the same Target find a couple months ago and itβs THRIVING! Tons of new growth and the green is starting to darken to a deep black!
@Amateurbotany yes the black is SO DARK on these guys. It's crazy.
