@AwesomePlants holy guacamole, I’ve never seen these before!! I want one that looks like broccoli πŸ₯¦ and that one that looks like an electrical storm!

I wish I could use that app but it is so overstimulating to me πŸ˜‚
@Sonja ‼️
Won a $300 plant for FREE!!

I was intrigued by these plants so I googled the shop… only to learn the website is entirely blocked by an uncloseable demand to get their app. Can’t even browse the selection. That is TERRIBLE business practice!!!
@captainstardust oh, #PalmStreet is an app that started as a plant buying app and expanded, but it's been a great way to find sellers I never heard of and discover plants I may have overlooked before. #PalmStreetThornOasis especially is super educational just watching his lives. I've learned so much about cacti and haworthia.
@captainstardust I downloaded the app on my ipad as well, but didn't sign in and I just watch lives. Maybe try that and browse around.
@DreamMachine Right!!! Girl, I ordered some seeds yesterday and looking into buying more. Because some cacti are so slow growing, it demands a higher price but I was 🀯 away seeing the prices people dropped!! Thousands of dollars on a good selection and hundreds on the rest! 😳

It can be addicting, but do like I did and download but don't sign in and just watch the lives.
@AwesomePlants OMG! That is so awesome!! I’m so happy for you! Did you get it yet?
@Sonja not yet. Should arrive next Thursday. It was a fun live to just watch as I didn't know much about ariocarpus.

I'm beginning to see the haworthia seed sprouting that I sowed last month so I am about to sow more haworthia seeds and cacti seeds.

How have you been chica?
@AwesomePlants lord now you’re sowing seeds 🀣? I haven’t gotten that far yet. The best I’ve done is propagate a few plants that I’ve just transferred to soil last night. It’s my first time propagating so I’m excited to see how it goes.

Yea the last couple of weeks have been pretty rough. Work, family drama and my plants have kept me busy but I’m finally starting to wind down from it.

I think I can finally start concentrating back to what brings me immense joy…my plants 🌱 😁
@Sonja girl! After seeing the prices these people pay, I want to try my hand at growing too lol. I've only had haworthia sprout so far. I just got in more cactus seeds so I'll work on sowing them this week.

Sorry life has been life-ing for you. It's been the same here. My poor hoyas, I am sooo not interested anymore so they have been neglected. I've been trying to salvage what's remaining of them so I can chop, prop, and sell them off to help recover when I was obsessed with hoyas.
@AwesomePlants noo not the Hoyas 😱. Those are some of my favorites! Slow and no drama 😁.

I’m still trying to work with my succulents. I’ve lost one and I got another one (Haworthia) on its death bed. But that’s only 2 out of about 90 succulents so not bad. I really struggle on knowing when to water them.

I have had some of my succulents bloom. I didn’t even know that some could so I was quite surprised!

You’ve got a lot going on there with all of those seeds. How long does it take for them to sprout? Do you have them inside a humidity dome? I’m thinking about trying some of my plants in LECA, but I have to read more on it to understand.
@Sonja πŸ€¦πŸΏβ€β™€οΈTew much, tew, tew much lol.

I have most in trays or plastic containers. It's taken them about a month to begin to sprout. I have them covered and directly under a light. I think I will need to sow the cacti in another room or move them at night as they need a temperature drop to help with germination.

I'm trying to find some books about cacti and succulents because I am so fascinated. I especially can't wait to start more cacti seeds and eventually harvest my own seeds!

I keep my plants inside year round under grow lights so I only water my cacti and succulents about once a month.

I switched to PON for my hoyas in self watering pots. My goal is to eventually switch all plants to PON (non-cacti and succulents).
