Hello @BabeVila. Your prayer plants are absolutely gorgeous. I am so jealous. This is absolutely my favorite plant. I have not been successful at keeping them alive and healthy. What is the secret? Obviously, whatever you are doing is very effective. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
@Stall54Jo hi Joann! I think the biggest thing that makes a huge difference is a good quality self-watering pot. I could never keep these alive until I put them in these pots. I will put a link below! They like to stay evenly moist but not soggy and that is really hard for me to do myself lol but these pots do it for me! I just fill the reservoir every week. I have them under a medium-strength grow light because my house does not get a lot of good natural light, but they are really doing well under the grow lights! I noticed they don’t like it too bright so I turned it to medium strength. And I think the last thing that they really like is I use We The Wild Grow formula every time I water for all my plants. It’s just concentrated earthworm castings 🪱 I’ll put a link for that too! Other than that I honestly don’t have to pay much attention to them, they just grow and grow lol! @PrizedShadscale oh gosh! Buddy has started this thing where he tries to swim at us through the glass. So of course, we reach in an pick him up. He loves to be held, lol! He is so comfortable! I thought he’d hide in his shell, but no. And then, I put him on a towel on the floor just to see what he would do. He ran to me (wobbled, more like) as quickly as he could lol so I don’t think he likes being “exposed” but it was heartening that he ran to me! I love that he feels safe with me 🥹 God, I’m such a mush! Lol here he is before that, when he was sunning himself.
