Was really winging it on these false Christmas cactus props, they sat to dry for 2 weeks and they were looking sad, I stuck them into some soil and checked them yesterdayβ¦. Theyβre rooting!! Succulents are the hardest for me to get to thrive. (See my poor little aloe thatβs been hanging on for dear life for years now in the background lol) theyβre in succulent mix, but Iβve been putting a thin layer of coco coir at the top of the pot for aesthetics lol. Please send some good vibes her way Iβd love to see some blooms someday #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PropagationStation #SucculentLove #PlantTherapy #TheWateringHole
1ft to light, direct
5β pot with drainage
Last watered 3 weeks ago
@SoothingCacto90 Just a little tip....they definitely don't take that long to calus over. Next time only a day max 2 days. You can also immediately put them in water to propagate them. But putting them directly into soil works also! π Having coco coir on top of your aloe might be causing more harm than good. It holds in moisture and they like to dry out before watering. π You must be doing something right because it's still alive!! β€οΈπͺ΄
@princesspitstop yeah Iβm thinking that might be the case. The aloe was just watered recently too and Iβm kinda seeing how long it takes for the coco to dry out before making any decisions lol. I just hate the look of perlite for some reason lol I should probably just get some sand lol
