Hello everyone. This is a photo of my hibiscus plant. It was damaged severely by the extended frost we had here in Central Florida. I thought I had lost it. I cut it down to the ground and saw small green leaves at its base. That was about three months ago. I’m not sure how long these plants live. The Internet says about 5-10 years. I planted this plant 40 years ago in 1986. It has a very extensive root system. It has been hit by frost multiple times through the decades and it’s always managed to survive. This is my favorite plant and my oldest. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #NewGrowth #SucculentLove #PlantTherapy #BeforeAndAfter #MonsteraMonday @AdonicKohleria2 @BabeVila @BuffCaperspurge @CutePolypremum @CutePolypremum @DreamMachine @FamedGymealily @HFplantoasis @ModestCoconut13 @princesspitstop #PlantID #PlantHaul @smushface @GreatestYuzu9 @Kaitlinfaith_ @MamaLinne @Theoreyofplants @TrueAchiote14 @TopCoriander6 @RefinedSandwort @Ponytailmom

OMG!
Forty years is a long time.

What a strong, healthy plant that proved all the experts wrong... 😘
@CutePolypremum Thank you Joanie. I had no idea how long they lived until I looked it up. Yes, it has proved the the experts wrong.
