Emerson's neon bloom: a weekend surprise

Omg Guys, I almost forgot to post this...
"Emerson", my #crassula Mesembryanthemoides is about to BLOOM the cutest neon pink flowers! ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ’ž ๐ŸŒท ๐Ÿ‘€
...unfortunately I'm out of town this weekend ๐Ÿ˜ญ

I guess my plant/cats sitter will get to enjoy the full bloom! Lol

P. S. I Can't believe the resiliency of this little guy during a very hot summer on open west facing deck!

I used my bigger Agave Blue Glow to give his blooms a little speckled shade in the heat #happyplants bloomingsuccs">#bloomingsuccs #succulentsquad #succulentlove #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #greggers #whatthesuccwednesday (it actually started to turn pink yesterday lol) #crassulaMesembryanthemoides โ˜‚๏ธ ๐Ÿ˜‰

Make sure your sitter gets a pic for you! Hopefully the blooms will be there when you get home too.
Those are going to be great colors!
Wow that is so pretty, hope you get a picture of those blooms ๐Ÿ˜
@roxyvivien heโ€™s so pretty been getting plenty of sunlight ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
@Krislindq @Sassylimey I def told the house sitter to take pics! She's a plant lady too (w/ tropicals)nso she's excited! @sarahsalith I can't believe they are so pink! ๐Ÿ’– @Lithopslover - he gets so much sun! โ˜€ he's on my open West facing deck! And even then keeps he trying to lean into it - I have to rotate him dialy to keep him straight. ๐Ÿ˜‚
Most Crassula love to bend and weave to the sun and can do it so quickly! โ˜€
@roxyvivien making me scared to try a buddhas temple! I love thrm but I grow inside and my current grow light is not that strong, have you thought about staking him to keep him straight?
@Lithopslover I guess I could give him a little wooden skewer to hold on to, but with his determination he'd prolly grow around it. ๐Ÿ˜‚
Regarding your decision - It's my personal opinion that Aeoniums definitely and most Crassulas really prefer the outdoor air and real sunlight on their leaves and stems for optiomal health, colors, growth
& of course blooming!
@rorimcdaniel probably true :(
@Lithopslover You could try an upgraded bulb for your grow light? I recent got this bulb and a basic desk lamp (very affordable) for my sempervivums who have to be inside during the hot summers In LA... And it's definitely doing a great job!
@roxyvivien oh Iโ€™m definitely getting stronger lights just so hard to figure out how to make everything work well (indoor gardening is hard :() my echeverias will@absolutely demand a better light by winter
@Lithopslover looks like you're good to go with the Buddha's temple tho! Found thia description on mountain crest Garden's site which is *usually* accurate.
@Lithopslover I spent about 20 hours researching lights one week after getting a crap one... ๐Ÿ˜• The kind I got after is solid & has higher Watts for a larger collection if u need it.
This is the one?

SANSI Grow Light Bulb with COC Technology, PPF 65.6 umol/s LED Full Spectrum, 36W Grow Lamp (400 Watt Equivalent) with Optical Lens for High PPFD, Energy Saving Plant Lights for Seeding and Growing https://a.co/d/hrfP18i
@roxy I wouldnโ€™t trust that description I saw beautiful ones on Etsy and the seller told me they were in a south field field with no light bias and got as much sun as any plant could to stay straight :/
@Lithopslover yeah I don't trust 100% a lot of what I read online lol ... I guess it really depends on how the plant was raised... You can slowly acclimate many plants to sun. ๐ŸŒž
@sarahsalith that's it! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ ๐Ÿ˜œ ๐Ÿ’œ
Nice ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ
Hopefully mines get like that soon
I had it for 2weeks now
@WiseDidelta that's looks like a Crassula ovata 'Tricolor' - beautiful! It usually takes Jade Ovata 3-4 years to flower... And will usually only flower outside (in ground or a container) ... If grown outside it needs lack of water, cool nights, and bright sunny days to bloom (usually in spring)... However even if the plant doesn't flower for you it's leaves are gorgeous! ๐Ÿ’—๐ŸŒฟ And change colors with differences in sun exposure. ๐Ÿ˜Š
Thank u..
Yes it's a Crassula
Tri color jade
I bought it from Amazon
