Is my monstera's water need normal?

Question for my monstera friends..
I have a Beauty monstera plant and I monitor its moisture levels with a moisture meter. I Literally gave him a 15 min shower on Tuesday and I just checked it’s level today and it’s already reading 3/4 on the moisture stick. When I feel the soil with my finger it’s doesn’t seem that dry-kinda moist.. is it normal for it to need water this quickly? I should note- I changed its location from a west facing window to an east facing window about a week ago.. the sun may not be as hot- but I think it gets a lot more lightβ€” it’s positioned in front of a big sliding doorβ€” it gets about 3 hours of morning direct sun but most of the day it’s just bright light. Since the days are getting longer and brighter should I just be watering on demand? Or am I doing something wrong and not watering correctly. Plant card is up to date and I believe it’s in a 12 inch pot give or take. I love this plant and don’t want to do him wrong #sully #Monstera #MonsteraMob #PlantsMakePeopleHappy
@jcPlantProper Thankyou for your insight- how do I know if it needs a bigger pot?
I agree with @jcPlantProper My Monstera is in a 16 inch pot with east sun during that morning.

I have mine in chunky, fast-draining soil and I water mine throughly about every 8 days and it's pretty dry by then.

You'll know it's time for a bigger pot when you see the roots coming out of the bottom of the nursery pot- more than one. (:
@KBolts3 I agree with @jcPlantProper and @sarahsalith I water mine about every 7 to 10 days. Depending on the moisture level. Mine are in 10 inch pot with drainage. Plus I have mine under a red/blue led grow light.
If you don’t have faith in this book, look at his Instagram,, enough said, Australia or not. His knowledge is priceless.
Katie- I just want to add that a Monstera that size can stand to dry out a bit. (: You don't have to worry about it as much as you would a younger, smaller plant.
@sarahsalith aahhhhh. You just answered my question I posted. I’ve got roots hanging out.
@TJphilobsessed good! You can pull it from the pot to see just how many roots are trying to get out. (:
