I found what looks like mushrooms growing from a larger plants. At the bottom hole on one side

Those are fantastic! It means you have soil with plenty of nutrients for your plants to be healthy. I always just leave mine in then they die and continue feeding my plants as the decompose.
Although if you have a plant with 2 newer leaves dying your soil may be too wet from the thrip treatment for that particular plant. In that case stick a tampon or 2 in the soil after treatments and pull the tampons out later.

@SuperbRaspfern hi Shannon thank you. π«ΆπΎOk Iβll put some tampons in. Top soil looks dry but itβs a large nursery pot. So youβre right the middle is probably still wet.
