So proud of my #Alocasia scalprum
Yeah, guess I'm becoming the Alocasia guy. This one has been growing and growing... fast. She REALLY enjoys humidity and is REALLY sensitive - and she lets you know. Yesterday she was all down but today it finally rained (80% humidity! yay!!!!!) and she's all perked up.
I just love the pattern. The leaves are growing in size, too (she grew a new one that, in two weeks, is bigger than all others), and she seems to like me. I, for one, like her very much :)

@CourtlyKingfern thank you my friend! ๐
@PoisedAlbo thank you! I bought it because it was on clearance and itโs been such a nice surprise! Jurassic park vibes, fast grower, compact, weird and gorgeous! She suffered a bit through the drought we were going through down here where I live but we managed with humidity boxes โค๏ธ
@Gustavo i saw one mature one the other day at my [not so] local supermarket! Damn it they had philo. atabapoense and dwarf musa too! ๐ซ
I am just reading this @Gustavo . The Scalprum is a wicked fast grower and easy going under the right conditions which you mentioned.
Here mine is with its newest leaf. I love the deep green and the awesome pattern as well. I keep it on a pebble tray and near the humidifier. 75-85% humidity. I try to never get below 60%.
