Calla Lily
About Calla Lily
The calla lily is a popular, elegant plant and not actually a lily at all! In fact, they’re more closely related to other houseplants like pothos and Monstera than actual lilies. The ‘flowers’ are also not flowers, but specialized leaves that protect the tiny blossoms on the stalk in the center. Their ‘flowers’ may last as long as two months and they will continue to rebloom over time in the right conditions.

How to fertilize Calla Lily
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Calla Lily after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Can anyone help me? Why plant is dying?😔 #CallaLily

My Zantedeschia Rehmannii (Calla Lily) hasn’t been doing to well.. 😞 I don’t usually have a hard time with my plants but this plant has had me worried for a while now. It hasn’t had any new growth since I’ve had her, 1 of the flowers has died and I’m pretty sure the next one’s ready to die as well. It was starting to brown and has these weird white spots on the leafs and idk what could be wrong, I also just found spider mites so I finally got so fed up, drenched it from the top of the plant to the bottom of the roots with Neem oil, changed the potting soil, gave it plant food and quarantined it from the other plants. Does anyone have any recommendations to help this baby? 😕 #ZantedeschiaRehmannii #CallaLily #GregGang #help

Hey everyone! If my lillies got a bit fried and are looking rough, should I cut them off? #CallaLily

Spotted #CallaLily question: What do these brown spots mean? They appeared a week after I bought the plant. I have had this plant infront of an east facing window, and has not been repotted yet.

Really tall, stems breaking, now brand new leaves wilted. #CallaLily I am stumped by what my callalily is doing. It came back from dormancy and got really really tall. Then the stems started breaking and falling over, and now the new little leaves are already dead, but the older leaves are fine. No sign of a flower yet, I usually only get 1 per summer 😞

What plants have you killed? 😭 I thought it would be interesting to start a conversation about the plants we've most had problems with that ended up in #plantgraveyard. 😭 Let us remember the good times and the bad times of our long lost plant babies together. For me I've lost: - #SensitivePlant (Our house was just too cold for it and I learned it too late.) - #PurpleVelvetPlant I am currently nurturing a pup but my original one got too cold and watered too much. 😭 - #callalily I tried transplanting it but it never grew. 😔 Those are the most recent. Over the years I've lost a number of other plants, a lot of which were acquired from losing loved ones over a decade ago. Some I'm hoping to add back to my collection again, someday. #rip #plantproblems
