How to fertilize variegated birds of paradise
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your variegated birds of paradise after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Leaf Stuck/ Unfurling too soon! Please help! My BoP was growing a nice strong leaf, but now it looks like it’s going to unfurl too soon and get stuck! What can I do? It happened to another BoP of mine and I am really worried!

Bird of Paradise help I can’t seem to keep my bird of paradise happy. It’s in a pot that drains the water to the bottom and the soil stops at 3/4. It has a chunky soil mix and it gets good sunlight. But the leafs keep turning yellow and brown, and even the top ones are curled up and turning brown. I checked the soil and it’s still a little bit wet so I don’t think it’s thirsty. Is the pot too big? #BirdOfParadise #yellowing #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PlantAddict #helpneeded
