Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.

To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Moss Ball Pets after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

🧐 Troubleshooting

When troubleshooting a sad-looking houseplant, start by checking for signs of distress in its leaves, such as yellowing, browning, or drooping, which can indicate overwatering or nutrient deficiencies.

Inspect the soil moisture; too dry or too wet soil can cause problems.

Ensure the plant is getting the right amount of light, as too much or too little can stress it.

Finally, consider environmental factors like temperature and humidity, and adjust care routines accordingly to revive your plant.

A marimo moss ball is extremely difficult to kill. It’s basically a pet rock. All you have to do is give it fresh water once a week and keep it far away from direct sunlight.

It’s such an easy plant to look after. As long as you don’t put it in direct sunlight and keep it in cold water then you are all good.

Great beginner “plant”. Pretty nice and requires little maintenance compared to others. Great to teach kids responsibility as a “pet” also I’ve seen people put little hats on them and decorate their containers ♥️♥️♥️

doesn’t really do much but helps aerate water. i have one in my fish tank (non toxic) and some in my water propagations. they themselves are so easy to propagate, you just pull them apart. just don’t have it in direct sunlight :)

They are super easy plants; all they need is very cold water, a glass container of some sort, no direct sunlight (or else they start to brown and smell bad) and a stir every once in a while (to mimic they being rolled by the water and waves). They are also very cute! They need like little to no attention. 😊
