Make sure you have enough light for these giants and they’ll reward you with dinnerplate sized leaves with lots of fenestrations. Rotate when you water if you don’t want all the leaves facing the window.

Derick is super beautiful to look at it. He’s the first thing you see when you get to my front door. He always has a new beautiful leaf coming through. It’s so cool when they have split leaves.

They grow so fast but do become leggy after a bit :(( I recommend putting a moss pole tho!

Poisonous to cats and dogs, it produces a fruit, the leaves will split if the plant gets a lot of indirect sunglight or under grow light , doesn’t do well in direct light

This is my first medium-sized monstera. Overall it’s been a good journey. It’s grown quickly, a couple of new leaves a month, when in good light conditions (south-facing window, 3-4 hours of direct morning sunlight.
However, I ended up with some brown edges of leaves after (a) putting it near a heater, and (b) being a bit neglectful with watering.
So I would recommend Monsteras to anybody, but recommend keeping up with the watering.

This is a monstera growing next to a golden pothos in a pot without drainage. An experiment that seems to be going really well 🙂
Both are thriving with a mindful watering cadence and with access to direct sunlight during winter months.
