Curled leaves??? What is going on here? My calathea’s leaves rolled up all of a sudden. They’re not browned or crispy at all, they feel pretty normal, they just curled up and flopped. I thought it was a lack of humidity and put it next to a humidifier and that did nothing. Then my stromanthe did the same thing. Is there any hope? What on earth is happening? #PlantTherapy #help

Fungus gnats SOS My plant (fishbone prayer) started with brown spots. When I checked the soil, I found kind of really tiny flies. Thought they might be fungus gnats. I started with potassium soap treatment, but it's been a couple of weeks and my plant doesn't seem better. It started growing some new leaves but they don't stop turning brown and I still can see the insects. Today, I saw the flies in another plant (snake plant) even though I isolated the first one. I'm afraid others are getting the plague. Any other recommendations? Better to change the soil?

A pretty easy prayer plant in my experience. Grows pretty quickly and doesn’t brown as easily as some other prayer plants I’ve had.

In kokedama form, I water her every 3-4 days just when the moss layer starts to dry out, give her medium indirect light from a northeast facing window, and try to keep the humidity at 50% with a humidifier. She’s thriving and putting out at least 1-2 leaves each month.

This plant just keeps on trucking for me! Despite being a ctenanthe I find it does fine with medium light and normal household humidity (30-50 where I live). Alway got a new leaf or two on the way, low maintenance, chill plant.

i’m so in love with this plant. such beautiful growth and leaves! love the purple underneath too. just keep it by a humidifier and not in direct light and you’ll be set!

Puts out new leaves often, is a bit tricky as it prefers distilled water and lots of humidity, can do this easily by placing with other plants or putting stones underneath the plastic pot. It’s a lovely edition to any room

I was worried about this plant because we live in a super dry area but it’s been doing great! Super resilient, fast growing, and beautiful! Also grows great in medium to low light!

Love this plant. Not super fussy compared to its relatives, grows quickly and has a really cool leaf pattern. Only downside is my cat loves to chew them to bits so I have to keep it away from him to keep it looking good.
