Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Hancock's Hedgehog Cactus after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

I didn't expect this My bearded dragon turned out to be a cactus. I thought it was cute. He's a little wrinkly, but loves his UVB light and sunny window!

Leaning cactus help. My daughter bought this cactus years ago when she was going to plant a succulent garden then promptly lost interest. I have kept it alive, but not given it much attention. It’s developed a pretty serious lean. What would you all recommend to help it live its best life?

Does anyone know what this is? There are white marks on my lovely cacti but I’m not sure what they are. They aren’t mealy bugs like I thought. It’s sort of hard and dry. Does anyone have any ideas? #LadyFingerCactus #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #CactusClique

#brunchataudreys Good morning everyone, and happy monday! With the onset of winter and people bringing their plants inside, sometimes there are problems with humidity or insects. In my case I think it's both ☹️. There are cacti with tons of spines or what we might even call hair that are designed to help keep these insects away. But don't put your guard down those insects can still get in there. My little Cactus has plenty of spines and yet last night I found mealy bugs on both of these cactus. Since you can't really get a Q-tip in there, you pretty much just have to spray them with alcohol or dip them in it. And pick the bugs out with a toothpick or tweezers. Followed by a spray with neem oil. Anyone else having any problems? @Arid_oasis @elisenavidad @ILoveMyPlants @MariansOasis @PoisedAlbo @PrizedShadscale @Amateurbotany @AmusingRedhill @BabeVila @Chevysgirl11 @debbiedo @ehery @JenniB81 @JenniferNoel @Michelle5986 @Ninabeena @PlantJedi @Popcornjoness @stephonicle @SuperblyLilac @TheOddAsity @Pineapplemom @planthoe40 @SweetAzurebluet And anyone!
