How to fertilize Echeveria Shaviana Pink Frills
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Echeveria Shaviana Pink Frills after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

How would I go about #repotting her? She’s getting a little leggy at the bottom and her blooms have gone crusty and bottom leaves are turning yellow 🥲 #Echeveria #SucculentLove #NewPlantMom #PlantsMakePeopleHappy

Furngully suffered root rot. I think the issue was: (1) Using rock mulch, blocking my access to the soil (2) Not having enough room to put my finger more than 3/4in in the soil I watered every few days because the top 1/2in of the soil was crunchy dry and the leaves wrinkly. I had watered sparingly before that, but I had recently repotted and moved it into the sun. Furngully began having wilting problems. I ended up watering more, as the top soil dried out every other day or so. I noticed rot and cleaned it up today. It is possible that rot was already in the roots when I bought it. And, when I repotted, I removed bottom leaves without letting the wounds calus before putting them under soil and watering. The rot may have begun then, which is why it looked like it needed water when my other plants were fine. I figured echeverias just needed more water. To prevent this: (1) Each plant has a bamboo skewer kept in the pot that I check for the dryness of the soil. I will water a pot when the skewer is entirely dry. (2) If a plant looks like it needs water despite being watered within a week, I will thoroughly check the stem and maybe even the roots before watering more. (3) I may have missed root rot on some of the roots when I repotted, but I know what to look for, now. (4) I may increase the grit in the soil to increase drainage and to decrease water retention. #echeveria

Another plant haul because I have no self control at all… 🫣🌿 Some of these have been on my plant wish list/bucket list for a while. The bucket list means I want to try to grow something once even if I’m not good at it, I can usually learn something from the plant experience. 🌱 • anyways I found a variegated corn cob cactus, artic ice Echeveria, string of bananas, sanseveria fern wood, and a lil baby cactus, with no name, if you know what type of cactus the last photo is please let me know! Hope you guys have had a great week so far, it’s almost the weekend!! ✨ I’m so excited for fall, we have had amazing weather this week! I’m really to pot up these new plants 🕺🏻 #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #PlantHaul #NewPlants #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #Succulents #Succulent #Echeveria #Cactus #StringOfBananas #CactusClique #HappyPlants #PlantID #PlantLove

I simply can’t believe how this echeveria has developed over the summer. I sowed this in spring of 2023 from a echeveria seed mix. This was one of the most remarkable, and has been a real joy for me this summer. #Echeveria #Succulents #SucculentSquad #NewGrowth

New #succulents! Ordered from April Farm/Rare Succulent. I’m beyond pleased! Potted bare root baby succulent cuttings mostly different varieties of #echeveria in #akadama and top dressed with #quartzsand and just top dressed the assorted #lithops with Akadama. The little #babyrita #cactus has been here but looks great with the new little ones. 💚 happy plant person here 🙋🏻♀️🪴🌵

Tiny spots on my succulents… what’s causing this? Pests? I’ve noticed suspicious spots appearing on a few of my succulents and I’m worried about what’s causing them. There’s also some scarring on the underside of the sedums leaves. (Referring to the smaller dark circles, I THINK the lighter white patches are just water spots) I’ve had the sedum&pink echeveria for over a year now and haven’t noticed spots like this before, but I’ve only had the arrangement(w/ lipstick echeveria) for a couple of months now. Aside from the spots and possibly being slightly underwatered, all the affected plants appear otherwise healthy. The sedum & echeveria currently live on my main plant shelf outside, and the rest of the succs up there still appear normal. The succulent arrangement has always been isolated from the rest of my plant population. Should I be concerned? Or am I being overly paranoid? Quite panicked because they need to come inside soon, so if it’s pests I have to deal with that ASAP #SucculentSquad #Echeveria #Sedum #PestControl #OutdoorGrowing

Does anyone find that perlite keeps their soil wet? My #SeaSandwort hasn’t been growing since I got her, and I repotted her a fair while ago with a perlite/potting soil mix. I’ve given her one water since then, and the soil is still wet. It doesn’t seem to be causing any issues atm, but I’m concerned that it might. I’ve also just had to repot my #ChineseMoneyPlant which had a perlite mix because the soil had stayed so wet for so long that it had gone mouldy. Granted, it’s been very humid here in the uk, but I was having these issues even before the humidity shot up. It’s just weird that my #Echeveria is perfectly happy in her terracotta pot with a perlite/potting soil mix (the exact same I used for my money plant), and they were on the same windowsill, but one went mouldy and the other didn’t. Granted, the pits that have the issues with wet soil are plastic, but all have drainage and a lot of perlite. I soaked the perlite in a teensy bit of water before mixing into the soil as the bag recommended, and I’m worried that contributed to the issues. So yeah. Any thoughts? #PlantAddict #SoilMix #perlite #SucculentLove #PlantTherapy #PlantsMakePeopleHappy

What's a good PLAIN soil brand to use in a succulent mix? I'm getting a Kalanchoe Flapjacks and an Echeveria Perle Von Nurnberg and making a homemade soil mix for them. It's going to be sand, soil, and perlite/pumice. But what ➡️BRAND⬅️ of soil should I use? (Sorry, I had to emphasize that part because last time I asked, people ignored it) NO MiracleGro, peat moss, anything with chemicals or stuff that holds water. Just plain dirt. Also, it would be easiest to get a soil from Amazon, Home Depot, Walmart, Lowe's, or Calloway's. #succulentsquad #succulentlove #succulents #succulent #soilmix #echeveria #kalanchoe #flapjacks

Meet my new Echeveria! I just got an Echeveria Perle Von Nurnberg from the Greg Shop! It came in pretty good condition. Most of the bottom leaves were bruised just from being wrapped up for a day. But otherwise, it's great! Any tips? #succulentlove #succulentsquad #succulents #echeveria #gregplantshop
