To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Nopalxochia after it doubles in size or once a yearāwhichever comes first.

Weird White Growths on My Zig-Zag CactusāWhat Gives? I recently got my first zig-zag cactus, and itās been chillinā in my office. But I just noticed these weird white growths on the stems, and Iām stumped. At first, I panicked and thought mealybugs (especially since Iām currently dealing with a mealybug situation on my prayer plant in the bathroomāsend help), BUT these donāt seem like that. No cottony texture, no sticky residue, and no bugs crawling around. So now Iām wondering: ⢠Aerial roots doing their thing? ⢠Mineral buildup from watering? ⢠Or⦠scale? (Never had scale before, and Iām hoping this isnāt my first time.)

I ordered this guy on Etsy (probably wonāt take the chance again) and he showed up like this with a chunk missing. Is there anything wrong with it? Itās pretty sad looking. #FishboneCactus #NewPlants

Why is my fishbone cactus wrinkly? I water it regularly in well draining soil. The soil is currently moist so I don't think it is due to underwatering. I also recently checked for root rot and there didn't seem to be any. #FishboneCactus

#FishboneCactus I bought this cactus from a local nursery that had an end of season sale on houseplants. This poor guy was a rescue. He was dry and wrinkled but after a repot and some new soil heās plumped right up. There was a shoot coming out the soil when I repotted him that I thought was a new shoot but now Iām not sure. The leaves are not succulent thick but itās kinda wavy so Iām not sure if I should pull it. Can anyone tell me if this is a fishbone pup?
