How to fertilize Peacock Plant

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil itās likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Peacock Plant after it doubles in size or once a yearāwhichever comes first.

Hi all, I have a Pinstripe Calathea and Iāve recently moved it to a more humid area with less temperature fluctuations. Itās doing well, but this one leaf is kind of worrying me. I am checking for root rot later, but, thereās a leaf that isnāt mushy but soggy in the middle. It does have leaf burns but I have solved the problem to that already, so thatās not an issue any longer. Itās just the singular soggy area that has lost color and foundation. Itās not rotting from the base up, so Iām not completely worried that itās root rot but I am still checking. Itās in good soil, and a draining pot and the other leaves are healthier than they were last week since I moved it to a better area. Any help would be absolutely awesome. Thanks! Also, any suggestions to better the leaf burn would be great as well. I believe I have it handled, but suggestions to help with stress and healing would be amazing as well! #Calathea

Direct Sunlight or not? I am based in Australia and have just placed two monstera's, a calathea (which has already been here), and a alocasia sitting in this position with a North East positioning window. I haven't been able to track the light but I'm pretty sure at some point during the day the sun goes directly onto this spot. With winter approaching I'll likely be closing the window to keep them chill-free. Is this considered direct sunlight during the day and/or will they be happy here? I want my monstera to be happier as she's been down in the dumps for a little while now due to repotting (growing season is starting to slow down as it gets cold). Ignore her scarred leaves, she burned when I first moved here and this hasn't bothered her. (Suprisingly my calathea has been happy here for a while) #monstera #directlight #positioning #light #sadplant #calathea #alocasia

Rattlesnake Calathea Help Does anyone know what could be wrong with my Rattlesnake Calathea based on this picture. It used to be purple dots on top of my leaf but it is growing. Is this a sign of root rot or something else? What is the best soil mix when I repot it? Thank you! #RattlesnakePlant #CalatheaCrew #Calathea

Calathea Zebrina Hey! For those who donāt use a humidifier, how do you keep humidity up for your Calathea zebrina (besides misting)? Do you use a pebble tray or anything else that works well? #CalatheaCrew #Calathea #Zebrina #help #NewPlantMom

Why are my plant leaves browning and turning transparent? Hello!! I got this beautiful calathea about a month ago. Since purchasing, Iāve noticed some of the leaves turning brown around the edges, but it wasnāt too bad to start. Whatās worrying me now is that the new growth is starting to have these transparent patches or white patches, and one of the new shoots didnāt even make it out alive; it turned brown and dry (see third photo), and didnāt even grow enough to unravel. For more info: itās about 2 metres from a south-east facing window. Iāve watered it twice since purchasing with tap water (I know this can be an issue for browning ~ I will get distilled water next). The soil is the same as when I bought it ā looks like regular potting soil with a bit of perlite? Im concerned itās retaining moisture for too long, so I may repot. Itās in a plastic pot, then in a plastic cover pot, both with drainage. I added some fertilizer about 3 weeks ago. Sorry for this bombing of info haha⦠I just know people like having this background to give informed advice!! Let me know your thoughts. Thanks in advance!!!! š«¶š» #Calathea #CalatheaCrew #help

New leaves rotten I adopted this Calathea Medallion from Ikea on January. So far she was thriving, she growed 4 flowers in March and 4 new leaves were growing. However, only 1 of the new leaves has grown normal, while 2 of them grown yellow and whithered, with the stems flacids and not responding to the pattern of movement of the prayer plant. Ancient leaves are all still good. I've already removed the leaves; the base of their steams seem to be rotten. I'm considering repotting the plant, as it could be a root problem. If somebody had a previous experience and can give me some advices I would highly appreciate!! Thanks in advance! #Calathea #Calatheamedalion #medallion
