Take a look at the size of that new leaf!π± And since I have gotten this dramaqueen a humidity-bag (more like a soaking-wet-bag) for her new precious leaf, it looks like it is actually turning out wholeππ±

@MockingJay congratulations on such a beautiful leaf! HAPPY GROWING @Hoyaobsessed Alavone, what you wrote is soooooo true. I have killed my share of Pray Plants and keep buying them hoping to somehow someway figure out how to keep them alive.
Iβve used several in my closed terrariums and they just love being in there.

@Hoyaobsessed @YammieOf3 thank you bothπ
I have had a special struggle with this one, none of my other Calatheas are so dramatic when it comes to new leaves π She just WONT produce whole leaves unless they get 100% humidity while forming. You can see most of her other leaves have edges I have cut off due to them growing in damagedπ She is otherwise very healty.
I have tried anything I can think of. Only thing that works is putting the new leaf-nodes in a plastic bag when they emerge and misting every day until they hardenπ€·ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ± She is indeed entiteled πΈ But soo pretty when I get it right!

humidity bagβ¦ Iβll have to remember this! I have learned something new today! Thank you! So itβs a bag with a wet paper towel? You should put the instructions post it! So many would benefit! ππΈπ¦πͺ΄π»
@SuperblyLilac it is actually just a ziplock-bagπ I have used a spray-bottle to cover the leaf and inside of the bag with water droplets (as this is how she likes it apparently)π
A wet paper-towel might work too though!
I have used a transparent bucket before for smaller plants (to put the whole plant in), like a humidity-dome, but this one is too bigπ πͺ΄

@MockingJay, do you think this would work with a Prince of Orange or other fancy philodendron leaves?
@ForestDweller I have no experience with philodendron, so I wouldn't really knowπ
If you don't have trouble with your new leaves, there should be no reason to do it. But if you are getting crispy edges or damage on the new leaves, I'm thinking it wouldn't hurt to tryππ±
