About Hoya Silver Dollar

They're native to Southeast Asia and their common name, waxplant, refers to their thick, waxy leaves which help them retain water in the heat. They're excellent climbers and will take off if you give them a trellis to grow on. Their other-worldly, star-shaped flowers are often fragrant and come in brilliant shades of red, pink, yellow, and more!

This is my very 1st Post on Greg! My Hoya Mathilde Splash is growing LOTS of Peduncles - for the VERY 1st TIME! It has 15+ of them and counting! A few of them have little purple budds. I have a few other Hoyas but this is the 1st one to bloom under a Sansi 24 Watt grow light. It looks like it’s stopped growing leaves and is only growing more and more peduncles, even on long empty leaf stem extensions. I hear you have to water them more often so they don’t dry out and fall off - maybe once a week? It’s a 4 inch pot root bound. Any advice to help me through the blooming process? It’s so exciting!!! Leaves rotting #Hoya Hi all, I'm new here. I have a Hoya Pubicalyx Splash that I got from a garden centre a few months back, but it's not doing well at all. The leaves are rotting and falling off at a rate of knots 😔 what am I doing wrong and can I save it? It's in indirect sunlight (north facing), not very humid space. This is the pot it came in. It’s snowing outside and inside I just found my Hoya Krohniana Black has just opened up its first flowers! They are cute and fuzzy! 😻I have been waiting a couple years to see my first Hoya bloom. Should I check the roots or wait it out??? 😩 I just reported these two Hoya hueschkeliana that I’ve had for probably six months into a bigger pot together. They were doing great prior, but now one plant has shriveled leaves. The other is thriving. This is a super chunky mix with orchid, bark, cocoa husk chips, chunky perlite and a little bit of potting soil maybe. Do you think the one plant is suffering from some sort of root rot or suffocation?
