Root bound?

Iโ€™m guessing my plant is root bound, with that do I need to loosen the soil and the roots? #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #rootbound #GregGang #help #helpmyplant
8ft to light, indirect
6โ€ pot with drainage
Last watered 3 weeks ago
First, I gently shake the plant and brush any dirt that loosens up. Next, I use a chopstick to really get in there and loosen things up. Once all the dirt is removed, I trim the roots.
I usually just squeeze it carefully. You don't necessarily need to remove all the soil, just loosen it a little. Find a new little bigger pot and fill in the gaps with new soil ๐Ÿ˜Š Calatheas usually don't like their roots meddeled too much with, I wold not reccomend trimming them If you can give it a bigger pot.

The plant and roots looks happy and healty ๐Ÿชด
