I’m propagating my dragonfruit from a stem cutting. Where...

I noticed today, when I was bringing my cacti and succulents outside for some sun, that my dragonfruit has root rot. I watered it two weeks early when I repotted it a few weeks ago and the base is mushy and has black spots. I know the base is done for. BUT I had a stem I was able to save. I cut it and I’m letting it callous. I don’t have fungicide though 😞. Everything I see online says to keep it in a warm, dry place. I have it in a west facing window. Is this good enough? Or is that going to burn it? I’m trying to think of a sterile, warm and dry place so I can save my plant 😩 #CactusClique #RootRot #DragonFruit

@MeghanAshley I leave mine in the sun . And normally lay it on a bed of soil . Then I water with a 2oz dropper daily. A week or two you should see roots . Biggest thing is not over watering .
@ILoveMyPlants lay it on soil as it callouses? Or after.
@MeghanAshley Yes pop it in the top layer . You want to establish roots with out overwatering . Yes the calloused area but not deep prop if you must .
