Browning leaves on bay laurel

So a few days ago I made a post about my bay laurelโ€™s leaves turning brown and curling, and came to the conclusion that it was just repotting stress as Iโ€™d repotted him a day or two prior.

However, his leaves are curling even more, and the ends are going even more brown, and the curled leaves are started to develop brown spots.

Does anyone have any idea whatโ€™s happening? Heโ€™s been like this for at least a week, and Iโ€™m kinda concerned because Iโ€™ve never had an issue with him before.

Good evening Lizzie! It sounds like your Bay Laurel might still be stressed from the repotting, but the worsening symptoms could also point to a few other issues.

First, make sure it's not getting too much direct sunlight right after repottingโ€”it could be causing more stress. Also, check your watering routine; the soil should be moist but not soggy. โ˜บ๏ธOverwatering or underwatering could cause browning and curling leaves.

If you havenโ€™t already, inspect the roots for any signs of rot or pests. Sometimes, moving the plant can disturb the roots, leading to these kinds of symptoms. Also, consider the possibility of a fungal issue, especially since you mentioned brown spotsโ€”if thatโ€™s the case, a fungicide might help.

Give it some time to adjust to its new pot, and hopefully, itโ€™ll start to bounce back soon! ๐ŸŒฑ
@SnailDiva ah, yeah it may be getting a touch too much light ๐Ÿ˜… he was in a southern window before and was living life and so I put him in another southern window, and yeah I will check for any fungal issues. Thanks for your help!
@SnailDiva hi, so itโ€™s been a few days but his leaves keep getting worse. Do you think this means itโ€™s a fungal issue? Itโ€™s mostly affecting the top new leaves but then today I noticed some of the lower leaves are turning brown too, but Iโ€™m not sure if thatโ€™s just them coming to the end of their life cycle. Thoughts?
