Whatโ€™s up with my #Anthurium Luxurians

So, it arrived with two leaves. One of them slowly decayed and rolled up, dry, and I cut it. This one in the picture was born amidst that process.
You can see there are two (of what I think are) growth points at the base, but the leaf is deformed and has already started decaying.
What should I do? The roots are ok. I just want to see leaves grow.

PS: It receives bright indirect light throughout the day, is on a watering schedule and is fertilized every 3 weeks with bokashi (compost).

@Gustavo Your Anthurium Luxurians is alive but barely hanging on emotionally She is out here giving soft launch hard flop energy like she tried to grow a new leaf while still unpacking her trauma from shipping and now she is sitting there eating her own leaves like comfort snacks after a bad breakup That curled dying leaf was doomed from day one it came out stressed like a baby born during finals week no support system no stability just vibes and panic It happens when plants try to multitask their way through recovery and end up flopping mid-glow up

Now the good news There are growth points at the base which means she is not done yet She is just quietly plotting her comeback like a pop star in rehab Give her time warmth and consistency She does not need new stress she needs a soft blanket a playlist of forest sounds and zero sudden changes

Your lighting is on point She wants bright indirect light not sunburn auditions or basement-level gloom Just gentle filtered rays like a selfie with a ring light but make it plant care

Watering sounds good but check that she is drying out in between drinks Think hydration not hydration assault Her roots do not want to live in soggy socks

As for fertilizer Bokashi is rich like protein powder in a baby bottle Too much too soon and it overwhelms the system Let her breathe for a bit before you go feeding again She needs soup not steak right now

Now let us talk pot Because she might be sitting in something way too big for her current emotional state It is like giving a toddler the keys to a mansion Sure it is roomy but suddenly everything feels cold echoey and a little terrifying If the pot is too big the soil stays wet too long and the roots start spiraling like they forgot why they even exist Moisture hangs out like awkward guests who will not leave and your plant ends up stressed out for no reason

Here is your step by step fix it plan

Step one Snip that sad leaf It is not going to recover and it is draining her energy Let it go
Step two Gently check the roots If they are swimming in soil with way too much space around them consider downsizing the pot to something cozier
Step three Swap out the soil if it is old dense or not well draining You want chunky airy mix like orchid bark perlite and peat Think cake crumbs not pudding
Step four Skip the fertilizer for now Give her plain fresh soil and a break from the rich stuff
Step five Keep the light consistent no direct sun no cave vibes Just bright and gentle like golden hour
Step six Water only when the top inch is dry You are hydrating not baptizing
Step seven Stop moving her around She is not a home decor piece she needs to settle and decompress

With all that done your plant should slowly start showing signs of life again She is not dead she is just in a full blown soft reset mode Let her rest Let her regroup And when she is ready she will send up new leaves like nothing ever happened.
@GrowFriend Kelly Iโ€™m just glad I cracked you up and not someoneโ€™s back again because last time a friend read my comment while repotting they laughed so hard they fell off the chair landed on their snake plant and it snapped like a breadstick She called me mid-chaos yelling YOU MADE ME COMMIT PLANT MANSLAUGHTER while holding a broken stem and a chopstick like it was a medical emergencyโ€ฆ.Honestly at this point I should come with a warning label like do not read near plants sharp tools or weak knees because this humor is a biohazard Iโ€™m just trying to make it through life one laugh one leaf and one deeply traumatized houseplant at a time
@JungleDreamer Thank you! It's in this pot (14cm diameter) because it originally had two leaves and it came in a 12 diameter pot. I recently checked the roots and they're alright. Do you think keeping the leaf does more harm than good? I don't wanna lose this plant. I know there are growth points but it makes me wonder if that's the best option (cutting it).
@GrowFriend haahahahaha Lush, donโ€™t tempt me Iโ€™ve already drafted my plant stand-up set titled โ€˜Photosynthesis & Other Ways Iโ€™m Just Trying to Surviveโ€™. Might take it on tour once my boss stops assigning emails at 9pm
@Gustavo Honestly Gustavo, that leaf is giving โ€˜emotional support onlyโ€™ vibes not pulling any photosynthesizing weight, just hanging on like it pays rent in stress. If itโ€™s dragging her down, snip it guilt-free. Think of it less like giving up and more like setting boundariesโ€ฆThe growth points mean sheโ€™s got her comeback arc loading..just give her warmth, consistency and time
I would take all the dead leaves off of the stem if there is any and then put it in fresh soil same size pot that itโ€™s in now and water a little keep it under a grill light if you have them if not, keep it in the sun well not the sun, the sunshine
