How to help my Easter cactus recover?

My Easter cactus just overcame a major bout with thrips, and after quarantine, pruning off all the excessive damage, and a couple weeks of rest, I’m wondering if there’s anything I can do to help her along. It’s hard to capture in photos, but her leaves are all thin and limp now, and have lost their glossy sheen. She just looks unwell. But believe it or not, she looks better than she did last week. I’m just worried I’m missing something that could help. Thanks! #HappyPlants #CactusClique #EasterCactus #Cactus #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #GregGang #babevila

@BabeVila Maybe try pruning her back a little? I know when I'm trying to propagate something it doesn't do as well if it's too big. Maybe it's the same way for plants we're trying to nurse back to health? It's less energy the plant has to expend the smaller it is. Just a thought. 🀷 She is still pretty even though she's sick. πŸ’š
@princesspitstop thank you… I did remove a lot of leaves already, but you’re probably right, I should really take it down to ease the burden on the poor baby. It had just grown so much recently πŸ₯Ή I’ll do that, though. Better to make a sacrifice now and have it survive!
PS I just learned about all the spam happening in the questions section which is probably burying this for some people, so I’m just tagging a few more lovelies for more tips 🌿β™₯️ @SvelteKingfern @TheOddAsity @JenniB81 @RealSimpleMama my brain isn’t cooperating today so if anyone wants to tag someone they are more than welcome lol πŸ™ƒ
@Hoyaobsessed Hey Alavone, just wondering if you have any suggestions for Shannon's Easter Cactus? πŸ’š
Hey! I think just some time to let her bounce back! I do see the thin wrinkles leaves! Her roots ok? She’s probably pouting.
I honestly swear by superthrive. I love the stuff. I got turned into it when I was working at the last greenhouse I worked at… I even will mix my medium with it when I prop!!
Some time and light !
Give her time, Shannon. Be patient. She looks OK.
@Hoyaobsessed I have that on my wishlist! I haven’t checked the roots because I don’t want to stress her further, but she seems to be holding steady at least. I watered a few days ago and pruned off a few more limp leaves. I’ll just be patient and when I can afford it, I’ll try to get some superthrive. I JUST had to spend $900 on new breaks and stuff a month ago, and now I have to find another $700 to fix a ball bearing in my car… I’m about to leave it in a bad neighborhood with the keys in the ignition πŸ€£πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜
@SvelteKingfern thank you! I appreciate your input always β™₯️β™₯️β™₯️ I’m letting her be!
@BabeVila lol leave it with the keys on top of the hood. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I usually get the big bottle of it and my friend borrowed it and spilled it on her porch . 😑 and I found a little bottle at Lowe’s for $17… 1/4 teas per gallon so it lasts forever…. But I swear by it !! Even in my prop box with moss when I have one going I’ll mist with the thrive … if it doesn’t hydrate soon and the leaves still look veiny and thin it’s root rot…. 😧
πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’– and good luck with your car. What brand of a car is it?
