O my goodness I think maybe you’re over watering honestly this is my most resilient plant. Water when dry and lots of indirect light should fix your problem if you let it dry out out before watering again. I neglected mine for years and it’s still thriving.He gets the morning sun and light during whole day . I’ve made the mistake of cutting him back two years ago and it’s came back like this. Good luck I’d suggest cutting him back right before he leaves start and letting it fill in again. Once you take the right steps he should be fine . I don’t even have a specific or special soil exept peat moss and perlite.
