I am new to growing tomatos! I have a cage and baby plant...

Depends on if it’s a determinate or indeterminate plant. Is it in the ground or a pot? A determinate will only grow to a predetermined height, with usually 1 good flush of tomatoes. An indeterminate will grow as high as you let it (cage or not). I would recommend topping those off (if in ground) to around 4/5 feet, if they are still producing. If in a pot, sooner. Either way, determinate will decide for you. ☺️. As Judy said, be sure and snip off all the suckers. They will suffocate your plant, while expending energy, that you’ll need for the blooms/ fruit. Some crushed eggshells mixed in with the top couple of inches of soil are very beneficial. Happy gardening.
