Ok so i recommend quarantine the plant to prevent your other plants to get infected and eventually. I recommend a bathroom so it can get moisture from the shower.
Spray it with neem oil and quarantine it / move it away from other plants. Idk if I would recommend putting it in the shower because gnats do like a humid environment. It may just create a breeding ground for them to thrive in.
Additionally, if you do not have neem oil, what Iโ€™ve done in the past to attract them away from the plant was put a shallow bowl of - you can use either water or vinegar - and a drop of dish soap. This attracts the gnats to that bowl and they cannot break the surface tension with the soap and end up drowning. ๐Ÿค
Mosquito Dunks is the ONLY thing that has ever works for me (that and just accepting you will always have some small gnat infestation in your home once you have them ๐Ÿ˜…)
You can add a layer of sand or aquarium gravel to the top of the soil. This interferes with adults attempting to deposit eggs and the emergence of adults.
What worked for me: sticky traps + double check watering schedule (wait for soil to be dry top 2 inches) + a layer of diatomaceous earth on top of the soil. Reduced it by 90% for me. I only put the DE on top of plants that clearly had a ton of gnats.
