Plants ID and care

Hi! I got these cuttings yesterday, I believe they’re a hoya something and scindapsus cuttings.. however, for the latter I am fascinated by the leaves pattern: is it a specific variety or just some weird leaves of a regular scindapsus? And what about the hoya? Both species are in water now, waiting for roots to develop πŸ₯³πŸ¦‹ #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PropagationStation #PlantID #Hoya #Scindapsus
There are different cultivars of scindapsus, but it might be too early to determine which one you have. The most common is Argyraeus, so if you see a "Satin Pothos" for sale in a big box store, it's most likely one of those. The second most common is Exotica, which has much larger leaves and larger splotches of silver rather than small silver freckles. There's also a chance you could have one of the more rare collector cultivars like Silver Lady or Silvery Anne. For now, where you got the cutting and how much you paid for it are probably the best clues regarding specific cultivar type. The Hoya looks a "splash" something, but I'm not enough of a Hoya expert to say for sure. @debbiedo you have several Hoya, don't you?

By the way, be careful not to let the leaves touch the water (third pic). This can cause them to rot. The water should only cover the nodes on the stems where new roots will come in.
@stephonicle actually I got the cuttings from a plant swap in my town and there wasn’t any label on, plus I didn’t have to pay, so.. that’s why I was asking! πŸ™†πŸ»β€β™€οΈ I already got a scindapsus pictus and an exotica, so I picked up the cuttings in the pics because of the unusual pattern :) oh and btw thanks for the tip about water propagation!
@EatMoreVeggies btw, they're all Scindapsus pictus. Scindapsus is the genus, pictus is the species, and 'Exotica' or 'Silver Lady' are the cultivar names πŸ˜‰πŸ’š
@EatMoreVeggies The coloring on your Scindapsus IS beautiful! Thanks for the tag @stephonicle ! I do have quite a few Hoyas, but there are SO many varieties!! Maybe a Rintzii Borneo?
@EatMoreVeggies can you show me a pic of the Hoya but include all the leaf shapes please (not so zoomed in?) It could be anything from what I can see right nowπŸ˜…
@EatMoreVeggies @debbiedo @stephonicle To me, that looks like a Hoya carnosa β€œfreckles” (aka splash, aka speckles)
@DreamMachine That looks right πŸ‘πŸ»
