How do I help this Aloe out?

This is my mom's Aloe Vera, Im sure it's biggest problem is that it needs more sun. I've relocated it. Im wondering if moving it to a good wondow is enough or if I should try repoting it so its centered in the pot instead of hanging off to the side. The little guys in the middle are it's new growth that popped up out of nowhere.

@diannamae260 Darah and Monika have both given great advice. Just be looking at the picture; are you using a soil medium or a potting soil? They are different, and potting soil holds moisture in a little more and has a tendency of being a little more dense, as Monika said. Using the right medium is key. If you are in a pickle and have any perlite, washed preferably, if you just mix that in with that soil and bury those roots a little more. This one, bury all the white. Even though it’s wiggling for light, it needs to be deeper. Otherwise, that is going to dry out more and then down as time goes on, or you’ll get some strange-sided roots and all that. So that’s my advice: they are notorious liars when it comes to how much water they think they need. In my experience as well, the more you ignore them, the more they like you. Let them dry out before watering again. Lastly, water; because mindful of house water aka tap water (tap is hard water) which means it contains salt, which is toxic and deadly to plants, so if you are using tap, make sure every few months to flush your soil, find a good flush, or water with distilled or rain. Or even reverse osmosis. But that’s just about everything I can think of. 🤣☺️ Oh and welcome to the community; you already had some great people to help you. Those two are very good at their care and advice. ☺️ Two groups I’d consider joining as well; #TheThread #TheWateringHole
@diannamae260 Hi Dianna! Welcome to Greg! It looks to me like it has been reaching for sun in the past. Usually the base isn’t so extended, they grow straight up from the center but it’s seems to be reaching so yeah I would agree with more light! Not direct sunlight, they burn but some bright filtered light is perfect! They don’t need to be watered weekly in my experience, maybe twice a month is about what I water mine- keep us posted on its growth! Have a great evening!🪴🌿🌺🌸
@diannamae260 Aloe vera plants prefer to be slightly root-bound. Because they have small, shallow root systems, excess soil in a large container stays wet for too long, significantly increasing the risk of root rot. For the healthiest aloe:Go wide over deep: Choose a pot that is wider than it is deep, as roots spread horizontally.Ensure drainage: Always use a pot with a drainage hole to prevent water from pooling.Use the right mix: Plant in well-draining soil, such as a cactus or succulent mix.Divide pups: Being slightly root-bound encourages the plant to produce offsets, or "pups". You can leave them or safely divide them into their own smaller pots when they get too crowded.
Thanks for the advice! I have a feeling its just in potting soil, I am going to repot it so that its in a better medium and its situated better. I am holing that between that and the new window spot it will be happy
